Some Notes on Listening
:::::::NOTE TO IE 6 Users::::::::
If you use Internet Explorer 6, it will attempt to play the stream in a side tuner window instead of
your selected MP3 player software. This feature of IE 6 behaves strangely on many PC's. Clicking the MEDIA icon in your toolbar will toggle this feature in and out of your browser. To
listen normally, right-click any listening link and choose to "open in new
window" or update to the newest version of Internet
Explorer.
We broadcast in streaming
64K MP3 stereo format, which provides better than FM stereo fidelity while
consuming a minimal amount of bandwidth. If you prefer to hear your favorite
band in higher sound quality, may we humbly suggest that you support your
favorite artist by purchasing their CD's, or catching a live show!
Our MP3
stream may be tuned with Winamp,
RealPlayer or Windows Media Player version 7.0 or above.
You'll need dial-up ISDN or better to hear our 64k broadcast without
skips or frequent buffering. Cable modem, DSL or ISDN will do quite
nicely while leaving you plenty of bandwidth for surfing.
Please be aware that
frequent buffering is an indication that your listening choice is
inappropriate for your internet connection or that delays are occurring
due to heavy internet traffic!
