Colin Grant-Adams was born in Winchester, England. His father was an Edinburg native and his mother was English. Colin spent 25 years living and working in Oban Scotland on the west coast by the sea before first coming to America. His first experience with the Highland Games circuit came in 1982 when he was invited to the Gatlinburg Highland Games.
Colin now makes his home in Glasgow Kentucky, in the heart of bluegrass country. Bluegrass is very close to his heart and many of our listeners may have seen him perform with Guitar Express a old time bluegrass troupe from North Carolina.
Colin has produced five CD's - Glencoe, Come by the Hills, Old Friends Across the Sea, Scotland - Land of my father and his latest Scottish American.
Colin's engaging stage presence, fine guitar work, stirring vocals and approachability make him one of the most sought after Celtic folk singers on the circuit today.
