Nurudin says farewell to the Peatbog Faeries

Posted by Ron Crowe, 5/6/01 at 5:11:15 PM.

We've received news from Nurudin, keyboard player extraordinaire, that he will bid adieu his Faerie enclave and move on from Scotland to Spain. While future collaborations have not been ruled out, his former faerie fellows are on the lookout for a replacement, preferrably one who can perform a little webpage magic on his keyboard as well. The website (www.peatbog-faeries.com) is experiencing technical difficulties at the moment, but you can learn more about our favorite band here or take a look at our latest PBF review. For all of you foreign Faeries who've not been keeping up, here is Nurudin's farewell note:

Greetings Peatbog friends,

It is with regret that I must inform you of my exit from the Peatbog Faeries. As of this morning I gave my notice in to the other band members, though as yet no one has responded.

Basically it is becoming difficult for me to remain a member because I shall (inshAllah) be moving to Spain within a month or so.

The Peatbog Faeries website is also undergoing some changes and will be off-line for a while.  Hopefully this will be working again once some other band member takes on the role of webmaster.

I hope that the others will find another keyboard player soon.  I shall, as far as is practical, make myself available for existing bookings so I might see some of you again in this band.  I'll also try to let you all know if and when I find myself another band in Spain.

Thank you all for your kind correspondence. I've no doubt that there will be more albums released by the Peatbog Faeries in the future.  The old beast isn't dead yet!

If anyone wishes to e-mail me, you can reach me on nurudin@lineone.net for the time being.

With best wishes for y'all,
Nurudin

We at Celtic Grove would like to offer a fond farewell to Nurudin as well as our best wishes to the Peatbog Faeries as they continue to evolve.
