Cuillin (kü-'lin) -named for the famous mountain on Isle of Skye - hail from Nova Scotia and are one of the great bands to come out of the Canadian Maritime Province and East Coast tradition.
Consisting of former members of such east coast stalwarts as The Kitchen Devils, MacKeel, Connemara, and the Dave Carmichael Band, with the Junior World Bagpipe Champion tossed in to liven up the mix, you can see why the music industry is abuzz with excitement about Cuillin.
Their self-titled debut album was produced by Gordie Sampson at Lakewood. Jazzed up Celtified versions of rock classics like "Fisherman's Blues" and "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" have led the stage antics of these East Coast dynamos.
Celtic Grove fans will recall Cuillin's amazing live performances from Grandfather Mountain in 2000. Anyone who has seen them live knows their are great things to be expected from this crew.
