Chris Range
chris.range[at]celticgrove.com
Executive Editor, Webmaster:
An Elizabethton, Tennessee native, Chris became steeped in Celtic culture from an early age - with trips to Grandfather Mountain for the big Highland Games and other festivals. In college he became involved with the School for Appalachian & Scottish Studies at ETSU and ran tech & lighting for their annual ceiliedhs. In 1992 he travelled to Nova Scotia for the first time and between quaffs took in the music and culture of Yarmouth, Halifax and Cape Breton. He never really left though his body currently resides in Knoxville, TN. Just ask his wife. He is co-founder along with Ron Crowe of Celtic Grove.
Ron Crowe
icghost[at]celticgrove.com
Director of Programming,
Radio Geek: Ron arranges playlists, maintains the Celtic Grove LAN, WAN and most all the servers except the ones in California. It's not that he doesn't want to touch the ones in California. It's just that those are the only ones that work on a regular basis - and we're shooting for consistency. Aim all complaints about the broadcast at Ron. He's tough. He can take it. No. Really...
Megan Warburton

Megs has been following her passion of Celtic music for several years. She is currently majoring in Library Science at the University of Oklahoma, which gives her ample opportunity to research all things Gaelic in nature. Megan was and is our first Field Editor: There are many Celtic Grove Field Writers but there is only one Field Editor. She goes to many festivals throughout the Western USA, interviewing bands, writing reviews and wrangling musical helpers. She has more editorial privilages than Chris it seems at times. Basically Meg is an intelligent young woman we decided to entrust with the keys to Celtic Grove. Why? Because occasionally we lock ourselves out of our own house.
Erik MacAlpine
erik.macalpine[at]celticgrove.com
A look at Clans and Tartans of Scotland reveals that the Clan MacAlpine are unfortunate in being both an unmatriculated clan and chiefless since who can remember. This is a misfortune since they descend from Kenneth MacAlpine, first King of Scotland. It is strangely appropriate for Erik however, being that he is quite unmatriculated himself. A former resident of Connecticut and Virginia USA as well as an exile in Alberta Canada, Erik has been involved in writing and art concerning things Celtic and medieval for many years. Erik is involved in medieval studies with the Companie de Saynte George, based out of Switzerland. He is fluent in both conversational German and Frisian (mainly spoken in rural Netherlands - also Saterland and Heligoland in North Germany) but he speaks very little Gaelic. He hopes to learn the Vivaro-alpin dialect of Occitan or possibly some other nearly-dead-and-totally-useless language in the future -- preferably sometime before he dies. Come to think of it - the boy is just plain whacked. Erik writes mainly for the Books and Movies section of Celtic Grove, but flitters about in other subjects as well.
